Meet 𓆸 the creator of Amuatma

Sukhpreet Kaur Purewal (she/they) was born on Plains Miwok Land (Sacramento), California to immigrants who trace their roots to the land of the five rivers (Punjab) nestled in Pakistan and India.

Her passion is shaped by the desire to preserve the narratives, wisdom, and beauty passed down from her elders — steeped in Punjabi-Sikh practices and rituals — and live in alignment with values of compassion, clarity and the needs of the Earth. Purewal is versed in facilitating spaces for folks to process the layers and complexities of grief, navigate states of transformation, connect to the wisdom of the Earth and experience joy through embodiment. She is a grief + end of life worker, astrologer, storyteller, and deeply in love with studying and being in the ocean.
